When were Puritan Literaturea and culture dominant? A hard question since the term, "Puritan Literature" is oxymoronic. The Puritans viewed literature as suspect and frivolous. However, to those who are not Puritans, it is still dominant: in political writings, media, and is still directily or indirectly influencing all forms of literature.
