Rationalists did not focus on nature the way the Romantics did. Rationalists believed that they could fix society as a whole and their writing focused on cities and not on nature. Romantics focused on solitude and nature. They had given up on fixing society as a whole and rather than trying to create a just society, they aimed for justice on a more personal level.
