I don't have the answers anywhere. I think the point of the questions is for you to start thinking about the literature. If you answer all them for your own studying purposes, feel free to share with the rest of the group.

Post New teacher needs help!

I'm certified to teach biology, and I have found myself also teaching English and working towards that endorsement. So I basically have no experience in making lessons for English. I love your study guide, thank you for making that available. I'm going to make a key before schools starts, but I might need some help.

So the first question asks what is the point of the first scene with the Three Witches? Is it it to set the tone of the play (dark, foul and filthy air, everyone fears witches especially from that time period, evil plotting will take place "fair is foul and foul is fair") and of course, to literally introduce the now infamous "Weird Sisters".

Let me know if I'm way off, or if this gets the point across. Am I missing any bigger themes at this point?

Appreciate it!

Thumbs up Great to watch on computuer while you follow along!

Hey everyone, I think this forum has great potential, so please stay active!

If you have netflix, there is a BBC version on Macbeth that is great to follow along to while you read the book. Its one you can watch on your computer instantly, or you can put it on your queue and watch it on dvd. It's called "Shakespeare Tragedies: Macbeth"

Also, I have a great book, that is fully annotated and really helps with understanding what each word means (especially those old-English ones). The ISBN is 0300106548.

Hope this is helpful!
