How to Keep Awake at Night While Studying

This is a common problem facing most students. Keeping yourself awake while studying or reading your lessons late at night. You may be awake reading your books but nothing is being absorbed by your brain because you are too drowsy or sleepy. Here are some tips on how you can stay alert and awake during your late night studying.

Big meal dinner will always make you feel sleepy at night. If you know that you are up for a late night of studying, just eat light dinner. There are energy boosting snacks that you can buy to help you keep awake throughout the night.

During your studying, you can take a break for some physical exercise to keep yourself active and awake.

Do not stay in one position, especially lying down or reclining in a chair. You will easily fall asleep if you do this. You can change position once in a while or stand up while reading.

One of the most effective ways is to take a quick cold shower. This will really wake you up no matter how sleepy you are. Remember to make it quick.

If it is cold outside, do not allow the room to get warm and too comfortable. If it is warm outside you can turn on the air conditioner and turn the heater to a minimum if it is the cold season.
