Considered by some to start after the renessance (spelling) but more ofter is considered to start after Reconstruction and the hieght of the Industrial Revolution. Post-Modern refers to a more community based outlook and is contradictory to the expansionist views of the colonial powers and our (United States) view that we are the "civilized" people who need to "show others the way".

You can still use in-text, parenthetical citation; as for what to have inside the parenthesis specifically, use (from best to worst, but still usable for citing) either the author, the title of the web page, or, if all else fails, the title of the website, and then a page number.
