The point of Prometheus's story is to show us or rather tell us the multiple ways in which Greek's believed that the universe began.. While here they are trying to show us that due to his action that's how all arts were made. On the other hand some people believe that Promethus didn't care about the well being of humans, it was an act of rebellion against Zeus. The fact that he rebelled against Zeus is why he was confined to Mount Cacacus. The story tells us two things, one that he sacrificed himself for the good of man, or the fact that he was angry because of his father being sent down to Tartaros by Zeus. Because of the fire he gave mankind that's where it all began.
